Rachel Short RVN

Rachel is a fully qualified veterinary nurse who has spent most of her career working with us at Victoria Vets. She is our acting Head Nurse, and the key person in charge of our experienced nursing team. She is extremely dedicated to her work, and never ever ever!! seems to get flustered or stressed. She is currently studying towards a Diploma in Animal Behaviour. Outside work and spends most of her time riding and dog walking.

Jo Welsby RVN, MBVNA

Jo qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 1993. Shehas worked in a variety of related jobs including veterinary sales, teaching animal care and as an RSPCA rehoming centre manager. Her particular interests are feline behaviour, rehabilitation and complementary therapies. She spends much of her spare time fundraising for an animal charity in Cyprus called PARC (www.parc-cyprus.org) and visit them regularly to do voluntary work (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcuzkqnnhGU). Her other interests include walking with her Cyprus rescue dog, Henri, travel, reading crime thrillers and reik. Calm, reliable and always smiling. Jo is a great asset to our nursing team.

Charlotte Black RVN

Charlotte has been working with us since starting at Nottingham University over three years ago. She is a qualified Veterinary nurse, and one of the very first in the country to achieve this by completing a University Degree. Everyone loves her honesty and eagerness to please. She is always smiling, totally dedicated to helping the animals, a wonderful role model for any young person wanting to have a career working with sick animals. She loves music and the Leeds Festival, and is great at helping us keep up to date with music.

Heather Naden

Heather is our trainee Veterinary Nurse, yet has a wealth of experience working with animals. She is hard working, extremly caring and has a big role in the in-patient care and the TLC of your pet. She has been working with us for many years now, and will be a familiar face to many of you and your pets.

Kelly Hallworth RVN

Kelly is another of our fully qualified nurses; calm, dedicated, experienced and very easy going. She is also an active member of the Glossop fell running team, and finds any opportunity to be out on the hills. AT the moment she is on maternity leave, but we all look forward to seeing her back next year.
